With the 2030 deadline for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) just nine years away, the need to expand society’s capacity to address the urgent and complex challenges associated with these goals has never been more pressing. This requires all sectors to operate in a more accountable, interconnected and collaborative manner.
Following the conversation opened last September by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) with the publication of its guide "Accelerating Education for the SDGs in Universities", this track will address how higher education institutions can play a pivotal role in achieving the SDGs by transforming mindsets, roles and connections that accelerate the development of new systemic solutions. We will talk to universities that are inspiring the way forward and invite key stakeholders to discuss new models of collaboration that cross boundaries and ensure that no one is left behind in this much-needed transformation.
