5th OCT - 6:00pm CEST (Madrid Time)
With the 2030 deadline for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) just nine years away, the need to expand society’s capacity to address the complex sustainable challenges has never been more urgent. This requires all sectors to operate in a more accountable, interconnected and collaborative manner.
This tracks follows the conversation opened last September by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) with the publication of its guide "Accelerating Education for the SDGs in Universities", by adressing how higher education institutions can play a pivotal roll. It does so by transforming mindsets, roles and connections that accelerate the development of new systemic solutions. We will talk to universities that are inspiring the way forward and invite key stakeholders to discuss new models of collaboration that cross boundaries and ensure that no one is left behind in this much-needed transformation.
